Dr. Saacks graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, USA in 1994 as a Specialist Periodontist and completed his post-graduate Specialist Orthodontist training in 1996 at the same University. Dr Saacks won the prestigious merit award for research in the field of Orthodontics. He is one of a handful of dual trained Specialists in both Orthodontics and Periodontics (Gum specialist) in the world. This positions him as a leading authority in adult Orthodontics.

Dr Saacks is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Sydney, postgraduate Orthodontic Department. In addition to his training as a Specialist, he has completed rigorous additional study and continuing education courses and regularly lectures to Orthodontists and Dentists in Australia and overseas. Dr. Saacks has worked very hard to be the very best in every aspect of his life and he is committed to bringing you the very best in Orthodontic care.

Dr. Saacks is a loving father and husband and together they enjoy traveling, skiing and outdoor activities. Dr Saacks is also a keen pilot. He holds a commercial pilots license with a command multi-engine instrument and instructors rating. In his spare time, Dr. Saacks volunteers for Angel Flight, flying sick children to facilities for special care. Angel Flight Australia is a charity that co-ordinates non emergency flights for financially and medically needy people. All flights are free and may involve patients or compassionate carers travelling to or from medical facilities anywhere in Australia.
