Invisalign is the greatest advancement in orthodontics to date, providing patients with a metal-free, bracket-free option for straighter teeth. The Invisalign system is a virtually invisible and hygienic orthodontic treatment that uses an innovative approach to effectively straighten teeth. Invisalign has a different process to traditional braces. Aligner trays made of smooth, comfortable, BPA-free clear plastic are worn over your teeth to subtly and gently move your teeth.
Part of this modern technology allows patients to view the final results on our monitors before undergoing treatment. With advanced 3D imaging equipment, custom-made aligners are created in accordance with your oral situation. When you have your initial Invisalign appointment at Saacks Orthodontics, a mould is taken of your teeth and sent off to Invisalign HQ where all your aligners are created. Your aligners exert mild pressure in desired areas. You will need new aligners around every two weeks and your teeth will move little by little towards the smile you have always wanted.
Invisalign offers exceptional benefits to patients. Requiring no metal brackets or wires, Invisalign reduces mouth irritation and oral sores generally associated with traditional braces. Invisalign is comfortable to wear and does not require you to change your busy lifestyle.
It also limits the amount of time spent in the dental chair. You visit us every month or two to check your progress and get your new aligners. Because the aligners are removable, you can continue to eat your favourite foods while brushing and flossing normally to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Because everyone is different, Invisalign is not always suitable. Especially, if you need serious orthodontic work done. In these cases, metal braces is the tried and true method of correcting your bite. But for those patients who are looking to discreetly straighten minor orthodontic complaints, Invisalign could be the right option.
If you want orthodontics but don’t want people to know you’re receiving treatment, Invisalign is ideal. It’s also beneficial as you can take them out to eat and drink. This allows you to enjoy all your favourite foods. And, not start a soft food diet for a month at the commencement of treatment.
Made from a hard, clear plastic, the aligners are mostly invisible. Typically, the only way someone would know you’re wearing them is if you tell them. Or take them out if front of people.
Invisalign’s effectiveness has an element of compliance to it. If you do not wear your aligners for 22 hours a day, two things can happen. Firstly, the treatment may not be as effective as initially predicted. Secondly, the treatment may take longer than initially planned.

Enjoy your meal. Brush your teeth. Floss. Because you can take the aligners out, you can brush and floss normally. Plus you can eat whatever you want – pizza, popcorn, you can even chew gum! That’s right, no forbidden foods.
Because Invisalign® Teen aligners are made of smooth plastic and move your teeth in small increments, you don’t have the pain that’s often associated with tightening orthodontic braces. Plus there are no metal wires or brackets to poke or tear your mouth and gums. What a relief! Your aligners will be somewhat tight when you first receive them and when you get them changed every few weeks but this will quickly subside.
Straightening your teeth with Invisalign® Teen is a clear, comfortable and healthy alternative to braces. Early research tends to indicate that there may be less root resorption and loss of tooth nerve vitality, which are rare but known complications with traditional orthodontic treatment. Because you can remove your Invisalign® aligners for tooth brushing; decay, decalcification (unsightly marks) and gum infection can be less of an issue if you keep up with your dental hygiene regularly.
